UPSC EPFO Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
- EO/AO Posts:
- UR/EWS: 30 years
- OBC: 33 years (3 years relaxation)
- SC/ST: 35 years (5 years relaxation)
- PwBD: 40 years (additional relaxation)
- APFC Posts:
- UR/EWS: 35 years
- OBC: 38 years
- SC/ST: 40 years
- PwBD: 45 years
Educational Qualification
- For EO/AO: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university
- For APFC: Bachelor’s degree plus a desirable qualification in Company Law/Labour Laws/Public Administration
- Knowledge of computer applications is essential
UPSC EPFO Exam Pattern 2025
The selection process consists of:
- Computer-Based Test (CBT): 75% weightage
- Interview: 25% weightage

EPFO Job Profile & Career Growth
Selected candidates for EO/AO and APFC posts will work in Employees’ Provident Fund Organization under Ministry of Labour and Employment. The job responsibilities include:
- Implementation of EPF & MP Act 1952
- Conducting inspections and investigations
- Settlement of PF claims
- Maintenance of accounts and records
- Grievance redressal of subscribers
- Conducting awareness programs
Career Growth: EO/AO can get promoted to APFC after 5-6 years of service. APFC can further get promoted to Regional PF Commissioner and other higher posts.
